FACILITY RENTAL:
Thank you for your interest in renting the computer lab facility at Oakland Digital.
Oakland Digital’s facility serves as a co-working environment for low-income communities to brainstorm and exchange ideas with working professionals and community leaders. Our primary goal: to help Oakland citizens make better, more informed decisions when it comes to the Internet and cloud computing. We are located at 1224 Harrison Street in downtown Oakland, CA.
Oakland Digital’s facility includes two rooms. The main area can seat 8-12 people around a conference table or 15-20 in theater-style seating. The secondary room can be used for break-out sessions and seats 6-8 people. Our computer lab consists of (6) PC’s and (2) PC laptops; WiFi and printing stations. Special arrangements for additional stations available upon request.
The facility also includes a refrigerator, sink, water kettle (coffee/tea), and microwave.
Rental Rates
- The $325/day rate is for verified nonprofit organizations, weekdays, between 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- For-profit rate is $500/day on weekdays between 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Weekend use is $450/day for nonprofits and $625/day for for-profit organizations.
- If you use any part of the center before 10:00 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m., you will be charged an additional $50/hour.
- If additional hours are required, you must notify Oakland Digital staff two days prior to use. A $125 deposit is required and will be returned to you no later than two weeks after your rental.
- State-of-the-art equipment is available including LCD projector, 60″ white projection screen, 32″ HDTV and PC/Mac connectivity at no extra charge.
How to Reserve the Facility
To reserve the center, please call Linda Poeng at (510) 435-2945 or send an e-mail to
info@odalc.org. Once she has determined the center is available for the date you request, she will send all necessary forms to you. You should fill out the forms and provide a check to Oakland Digital at least three business days prior to rental.

The conference center is easily reached via public transportation and three major Bay Area highways and is walking distance from parking, hotels and restaurants. For directions to Oakland Digital, click here.
On the day of your rental, Oakland Digital staff will be present to assist with any equipment or room setup.
Terms of Use
Terms of use include (but are not limited to) the following:
- The person or persons renting our facility are responsible for maintaining the condition of the room.
- Due to high levels of demand, cancellations must be made no less than two weeks prior to the reservation date. The full rental fee will be charged if a reservation is canceled with less than 5-days notice.
- Should the renter need a custom setup by Oakland Digital technicians, there will be an additional charge associated (time and materials).
- Any software installed will be removed by the renter at the end of the rental period.
- The renter is responsible for returning all existing software to the original configurations.
- Any renter installing non-licensed software is liable to the terms of the software agreement.
